I know there are many ways to make an intake manifold flow better, but what about the valves? Aren't they usually the main limiting factor? The devil's advocate in me says that as much as people like to improve the design, Nissan had some pretty good engineers working on the Z, and they had a pretty big budget for R&D and testing. I bet they tested several incarnations of the intake design and they settled on this one for a reason. On the other hand, they were only designing a 300 hp engine. Just a thought.
